My husband married another woman using my money

They checked into a mid-tier hotel using Valeria’s credit card — the only one that still worked. That night, Mauricio called me over thirty times. I let every call go to voicemail.

On the fourth day, he showed up at my company headquarters in Polanco, demanding to see me. Security escorted him to a private meeting room where I was waiting, calm and impeccably dressed in a tailored black suit.

“Sofía, what the hell have you done?!” he yelled as soon as the door closed. “You sold our house? You froze everything? Are you crazy?”

I looked at him — really looked at him — and felt nothing but pity mixed with disgust.

“Our house?” I repeated softly. “Mauricio, nothing was ever ‘ours.’ I bought everything while you played golf and fucked my employee. The only thing you brought into this marriage was debt and lies.”

Valeria burst into the room behind him, red-faced and furious.

“You can’t do this to us! I’m pregnant with your husband’s child!”

I smiled coldly.

“Congratulations. I hope he’s a better father than he was a husband. As for you, Valeria… you’re fired. Effective immediately. HR has already processed the paperwork for misconduct and breach of contract.”

Mauricio slammed his fist on the table.

“You’re going to regret this. My family will destroy you. We’ll sue you for everything!”

I leaned forward, my voice low and steady.

“Go ahead. Sue me. Every document, every transaction, every message between you and Valeria has been saved. The affair started two years ago, didn’t it? While I was in chemotherapy after my miscarriage? While I was fighting for my life and still paying your mother’s bills?”
